Cool, but it isn't my birthday.. Just go along.
' Thank you!! Where's my present? '
' Didn't you receive anything? '
Okay, I feel bad.
' Oh, the parcel? Nope, not yet. Oh, and it's not my birthday. '
' WHAT! It's been 2 weeks! '
Wait, he didn't notice. Do I repeat it..?
' Should be here by next week maybe? '
' I hope so. '
Pause.
' Wait. Why did you say it's not your birthday? Isn't it October? '
Oh finally.
' It's November. '
' OMG. SHITZ. '
' You're a month earlier. '
' The letter is gonna be so awkward now. Silly me. '
Ucchis, I literally lol'ed.
Okay, I dislike using that word. It's not really a problem to me when people uses those kinds of short forms until I meet people that uses that word in real life. Not a virtual chat. A real life face to face chat. Can you imagine? Do you know people that does the same?
Are you one of them?
Imagine you're watching Russell Peters live, and to every funny joke he made, some random guy next to you doesn't laugh, no, he goes 'LOL!' the whole entire show. A guy rather says the word 'lol' than to laugh out loud.
I don't get it.
Aren't they just constraining their laughters by saying the word? Or do they not think it's funny, but felt that they should say something to not make them look awkward/left out? Or are they just that lazy till they had to turn their laughter into an abbreviation?
How hard is it to laugh?
♥oves,
vee.
